The 2012 Season for LA Flag Football will be starting soon, and so we need you to get your registration forms and fees in as soon as possible. The deadline for early registration has been extended til March 10th with the fee being $65. After March 10th, the registration fee is increased to $80 with the final deadline for all forms and fees by March 24th.
However, you can help yourselves and the league by bringing out new players. For every new player you have sign-up for the upcoming season, we will discount your registration fee by $5.
Bring in 10 new players, and you play the season for free.

Who will have a sweeping victory when polar opposite leagues face-off at the third annual Downtown on Ice Broomball Brawl, this year between the LA Flag Football League – a group made up of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender competitive football players – and the LA Derby Dolls, Southern Cal’s premiere women’s banked track roller derby league? The excitement gets underway at 7:00pm Tuesday night, January 10th, so come cheer on your favorites at the stunning outdoor holiday rink at Pershing Square, 532 South Olive, in the heart of Los Angeles. Meet and mingle with the teams immediately following the game at the Perch.
As a free community outreach event, the seriously fun game promises to be a thrill to watch, despite the rule of no “checking, blocking or hitting.” With participants suited up in athletic shoes, helmets, brooms and a winning game plan, the action promises to be a spirited showcase of thrills and spills in a quest for the trophy prize.

Details: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bernstein High in Hollywood. Address: 1309 N Wilton Place, 90028. Right where the 101 Freeway meets Sunset, next to the Home Depot. Street parking available (field entrance is on the side street directly across Sunset from Dennys).

–A dark AND a white shirt since we split up into teams.

–Duel in the Desert: A heads up that the 3rd annual Duel in the Desert Flag Football tournament will be held in Palm Springs, Saturday January 28, 2012.
It’s basically multicity pickup. Players from LA, SD, Phoenix and others are mixed together to form unique teams. You are ensured three games and then there are socal events after.
The registration fee will be $25 per person. This tournament is limited to the first 90 people. More info will follow, but it’s a great event and open to all.
LA Motion, the 20-member team composed of players from our LA Flag Football League, won Gay Bowl X in Phoenix on Oct. 10, 2010.
LA went 7-0 and beat the New York Warriors, 19-18, in an exciting final.
LA’s winning touchdown came on a pass from Christophe to Toby from 8 yards out with 1:40 left. The win was sealed when Demond intercepted New York’s next pass and LA ran out the clock. read more »
